When deleting items in Energy Hub...

The following table shows what happens when you delete items in Energy Hub.

Item to be deleted Delete behavior

Access client (systems integration)

The access client is deleted.

A third-party application that is using this access client to exchange data with Energy Hub will be disconnected.

Alarm rule

The alarm rule is deleted.

Alarms that have been generated by the alarm rule before it was deleted will not be deleted and will remain in Inbox.

Bill run (tenant billing)

The bill run and all associated tenant bill previews (PDF) are deleted.

Only bill run previews can be deleted. Finished bill runs cannot be deleted.

Gateway

The gateway and everything associated with it are deleted.

This includes devices, device data, and energy usage type assignments.

NABERS building

Removing a building from the NABERS building list deletes all ratings and ratings reports for this building and removes the building from NABERS.

The building is not deleted from Energy Hub.

NABERS rating

The rating and rating report for a building are deleted.

The building is not removed from NABERS.

Panelboard

The panelboard and any linked virtual device are deleted.

Other child devices remain and move up to the parent of the deleted panelboard.

Region

The region is deleted.

Child sites remain and move up to the parent organization.

Site

The site and everything associated with it are deleted.

This includes any child site elements like buildings, floors, areas, spaces, production lines, and zones. It also includes gateways, devices, virtual devices, device data, and single-line diagrams associated with the site.

Location (building, floor, area, space, production line, zone)

The location is deleted.

Energy usage type assignments directly associated with the location are removed. Any child assets, devices, and other items remain and move up to the parent of the deleted location.

Deleting a building when using NABERS:
You can continue to view existing ratings and download existing rating reports for this building in NABERS.
You can no longer create new ratings or recalculate existing ratings.

Tariff

[Delete]
The tariff is removed from sites it was assigned to and deleted from the organization.

[Remove]
The tariff is removed from the site it was assigned to. The tariff is not removed from other sites and it is not deleted from the organization.

Tenant (tenant billing)

The tenant is deleted.

Location assignments for the tenant are removed. Existing bill runs and tenant bills for this tenant are not deleted.

User

Users are "removed", not "deleted". When a user is removed from an organization, they no longer have access to that organization.

The user is not removed from other organizations they are a member of. The Schneider Electric ID of the user remains. A removed user can be invited again to the same organization.

Virtual device

The virtual device is deleted.

Energy usage type assignments associated with it are removed.
