Introduction

You can access Energy Hub through the web application on a computer or the mobile app on a mobile device. Web and mobile apps share the same system configuration and the same energy data, but the features and functions that are available on each differ.

The mobile app has two modes: Site manager mode and Technician mode. Site manager mode is focused on energy consumption, building operations, and load control. Technician mode is focused on power monitoring and alarming. You can switch between both modes in the app.

The following shows the features that are available in the mobile app and provides step-by-step instructions for configuration and information access. For information on the web app and on Energy Hub in general, see other help topics, starting with the Home page.

[Site Manager and Technician mode]

Consumption monitoring tracks the use of energy, water, and fuel gas in your facility. You can view consumption trends and totals for different locations or loads, and different time ranges.

NOTE: Water and fuel gas monitoring is only available in Technician mode.

Consumption monitoring includes the following data:

  • Electric energy flow
  • Electric energy consumption
  • Electric energy consumption by usage type
  • Electric energy consumption by location
  • Water consumption
  • Fuel gas consumption

Energy Hub offers the following software-based alarm types for consumption monitoring:

  • Electrical energy overconsumption alarm

NOTE: Your feature plan subscription, the monitoring device types, and the device configurations determine the types of alarms you can have for your organization. For information on which alarm types are available for different devices and feature plans, see the alarms reference.

Prerequisites

Verify that:

  • You have an active Energy Hub subscription that includes this feature. For information on subscriptions, see Energy Hub subscriptions.
  • Power monitoring devices are installed in your facility to monitor loads such as lighting, air conditioning, plug loads, and other consumers.
  • (For water and gas monitoring) Water and gas monitoring devices are installed in your facility.
  • The monitoring devices are connected to communication gateways, for example Site Server or Panel Server, that are sending measurement data to Energy Hub over the internet.
  • The communication gateways have been added to your organization in Energy Hub.

NOTE: For Energy Hub to recognize a device as a water or gas meter, set the correct I/O Contextualization setting and the Commodity setting for the device in the Panel Server gateway. You can also set the Commodity setting in Energy Hub if it is not set correctly by Panel server. See Settings for information on the Commodity setting.

Configuration

There is no configuration for consumption in the mobile app.

Electrical consumption

You can view electrical consumption data and alarms in Site manager mode on the Home and Energy tabs and in Technician mode on the Inbox and Investigate tabs.

Water and fuel gas consumption

You can view water and fuel gas consumption in Technician mode on the Investigate tab.

Energy performance shows selected indicators that provide insights into the performance of your energy systems. Find improvement opportunities and track the results of energy system improvement projects.

Consumption ranking

Energy Hub displays energy consumption by location (site, building, floor, area, space, zone) and by energy usage type, from highest to lowest consumption.

Consumption tracking

Energy Hub compares energy consumption for a site with its target. The time period for the comparison is set by a date range selector on the screen.

Cost tracking shows the cost for electrical energy consumption based on fixed rate charges. You can view cost for different sites and different time ranges. Different sites in the organization can use different electricity rates. The same currency is used for all sites.

NOTE: Cost tracking only provides cost estimates for energy consumption. This does not represent the actual costs charged by your electricity suppliers.

Standards-based monitoring aligns the monitoring and reporting of building energy consumption with established energy efficiency codes and standards. Use it to help you meet your energy efficiency goals and to operate your facilities within expected performance limits.

NOTE: The NABERS rating functionality in Energy Hub is only available in the web app.

Energy Hub is aligned with the following energy efficiency codes and standards:

Standard Description

ASHRAE Standard 90.1

ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1: Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings provides minimum requirements for energy efficient designs for buildings.

California Energy Code (Title 24)

Title 24 is a collection of energy standards for California buildings. Its goal is to promote energy efficiency in new and existing buildings.

International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)

The IECC is a building code created by the International Code Council. It is a model code for the establishment of minimum design and construction requirements for energy efficiency.

LEED v4

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a green building certification program used worldwide. LEED was developed by the non-profit United States Green Building Council.

NOTE: Energy Hub does not report the total building power factor, which is part of LEED.

NEC Article 220.12

Article 220.12 is a table in the United States National Electrical Code that is focused on lighting loads.

NOTE: Energy Hub does not send notifications for exceeding lighting demand based on illuminated floor area, which is part of NEC 220.12.

NABERS Energy - Office buildings and tenancies

NABERS (National Australian Built Environment Rating System) is an initiative by the government of Australia to measure and compare the environmental performance of Australian buildings and tenancies.

NOTE: The NABERS rating functionality in Energy Hub is only available to users in Australia.

Cable overheating detection provides an early warning system for the detection of overheating cables in low-voltage (LV) equipment, such as switchboards or panelboards. Overheating cables can cause equipment damage and fires.

PowerLogic™ HeatTag™ wireless sensors that are installed in the equipment can detect gases and particles that are released when cables are overheating. When the gas and particle concentration reaches a certain limit, the HeatTag sensors generate alarms that are displayed in Energy Hub.

HeatTag alarms

Asset monitoring alarms

HeatTag devices generate a Thermal / temperature alarm when detecting cable overheating conditions. The priority of this alarm increases as the gas and particle concentration increases:

  • Low priority Thermal / temperature alarm (cables are beginning to overheat and maintenance actions should be planned).
  • Medium priority Thermal / temperature alarm (cables are overheating; timely action is required).
  • High priority Thermal / temperature alarm (cables are overheating fast; immediate action is required).

Diagnostics alarms

HeatTag devices generate two types of diagnostics alarms:

  • High priority Device replacement alarm (HeatTag sensor is out of service).
  • High priority Fan error alarm (HeatTag fan needs cleaning).
Energy Hub notifications

Energy Hub sends three types of notifications:

  • Notification when a HeatTag alarm goes active or inactive.
  • (*) Notification if HeatTag alarms have been active for more than two weeks. This notification is sent every two weeks until the alarms are no longer active.
  • (*) Notification if no alarms have been generated by HeatTag devices for a site in the previous three months.

(*) These notifications are not controlled by the notification settings in Energy Hub and cannot be disabled.

 

Overheating of cables can take days, weeks, or months until enough gas and particles are produced to trigger an alarm. However, continuous monitoring is important, which means you need a reliable communication network that connects the HeatTag sensors to the communication gateway and the gateway to Energy Hub.

NOTES:
  • Device-based communication loss alarms have a Low alarm priority in Energy Hub. Do not ignore these alarms for devices that are related to cable overheating detection monitoring.
  • You do not receive HeatTag alarms and notifications during a communication interruption between the HeatTag sensors, communication gateways, Energy Hub, and your email or mobile device.

Energy Hub includes a gateway communication loss software alarm that monitors the communication link between Energy Hub and the communication gateways. This alarm can notify you of communication issues. See software-based alarms to review the details of this alarm and to understand its behavior and limitations.

Cable overheating detection generates low, medium, and high priority asset monitoring alarms when detecting cable overheating conditions and high priority diagnostics alarms related to the operational condition of the HeatTag sensors. To receive alarm notifications for cable overheating detection alarms, verify that alarm notification is enabled for asset monitoring alarms with low, medium, and high priority.

  • No configuration is required for cable overheating detection.
  • To customize alarm notifications, edit the notification settings in Energy Hub.

The monitoring and detection of cable overheating is done by the HeatTag sensors that are installed in your facility. When a HeatTag detects an overheating condition, it generates an alarm.

Refrigeration monitoring tracks the status of your cold rooms or refrigeration equipment. You can view refrigeration temperature and open / closed door status. You can also set door status alarms.

Emergency lighting monitoring and control keeps track of your Exiway Link exit and emergency lighting system. You can control the lights, run tests, view test results, and check if a light is on or off. You can also receive alarms related to emergency lighting.

Emergency light tests

Exiway emergency lights automatically run tests at regular intervals to ensure they switch to battery power and continue to function for a specified period in an emergency. Test results are recorded by Energy Hub and are available as test reports.

Functional tests

Functional tests check if the light switches to battery power and operates as expected when grid power is lost. During the test, the light runs on battery power for 30 seconds before switching back to grid power. Exiway lights perform functional tests weekly (every 7 days), based on the time of their first power-up. You can also run a functional test on demand through Energy Hub.

Duration tests

Duration tests check the battery health of the light to ensure it can be powered for a specified period during an emergency. During the test, the light runs on battery power for one hour before switching back to grid power. Exiway lights conduct duration tests every 12 weeks (84 days), based on the time of their first power-up.

Exiway lights generate device-based alarms for test runs and status changes. For details on device-based alarms, see Device-based alarms.

There are no software-based alarm types for emergency lighting monitoring.

NOTE: Controls for emergency lighting are only available in the mobile app.

Emergency lighting includes the following controls:

  • Turn the light on or off (not available in France)*

    • If the light is turned off, it will automatically turn on when grid power is lost and the light switches to battery power (emergency mode). The light cannot be turned off while in emergency mode.

  • Locate the light
    • This causes the light to blink for 5 minutes so you can locate it in the building.
  • Run a functional test on the light
    • This runs a functional test immediately without affecting the automatic test schedule.
  • Enable or disable automatic functional and duration tests for the light
    • This prevents the light from running the periodic tests.

      NOTE: Disabling the automatic tests generates an alarm in Energy Hub that remains active until they are enabled again.

  • Synchronize automatic emergency light testing
    • This schedules future tests for all Exiway lights in your system to run at the same time but on different days. The test time is set to the current time when you trigger the synchronize control in Energy Hub. Synchronizing does not trigger an immediate test.

(*) Exiway emergency lights sold in France (= with French commercial reference) cannot be manually turned on or off. This is a legal requirement for France.

Prerequisites

Verify that:

  • You have an active Energy Hub subscription that includes this feature. For information on subscriptions, see Energy Hub subscriptions.
  • Exiway Link emergency or exit lights are installed in your facility.
  • The Exiway devices are connected to Panel Server communication gateways that are sending data to Energy Hub over the internet.
  • The communication gateways have been added to your organization in Energy Hub.
  • The energy usage type Emergency lighting has been assigned to the Exiway devices.

Configuration

No configuration is required for emergency lighting monitoring and control.

You can view emergency lighting data on the Home tab.

You can create an emergency lighting report with lighting test information in Excel or PDF format. The report includes data for automatic and manual tests. For step-by-step instructions on how to report on emergency lighting tests, see To generate an emergency lighting test report.

NOTE: 'Test postponed' in the report means that a test could not be run because the emergency light battery was not fully charged before the test, or the light was in emergency mode.

[Site Manager mode only]

IMPORTANT: The data for this functionality is not real-time. Energy Hub uses the latest logged data from the equipment or monitoring device. Updates occur every 10 minutes.

With manual load control you can turn non-critical loads on or off. Non-critical loads are loads that cannot cause a safety hazard or that are not critical to your operations. You can control these loads and monitor the on / off status with Energy Hub.

  • The PowerTag devices are connected to Panel Server communication gateways, through concentrators, that are connected to Energy Hub over the internet.
  • The communication gateways have been added to your organization in Energy Hub.
  • Energy usage types, for example Lighting, have been assigned to the loads that are being controlled.

Configuration

Configure load control in the Panel Server gateway. Refer to the gateway documentation for details.

You can control loads on the load-type tabs on the Home screen. For example, for a lighting load, on the Lighting tab. For step-by-step instructions on how to manually control loads, see To manually control non-critical loads.

NOTE: The tab naming for the load types on the Home screen is based on the energy usage types that are assigned to the loads. For example, a Ventilation tab will display if a load has been assigned a Ventilation usage type.

Accessing Energy Hub
  1. In a web browser, on your computer or mobile device, open the Energy Hub login page.
  2. In the "New to Schneider Electric?" section, select Register. The Create your account form displays.
  3. Enter your email address, name, location, and the password you want to use. Select Next.

    NOTE: The email address you enter will become your Schneider Electric ID.

  4. Provide your business information and other required details.

    The following information, on the My Company tab, is required if you want to manage and renew Energy Hub subscriptions in the future:

    • Address (street, city, state / province)
    • Business Type
    • My Industry Segment
    • Location (country, postal code)
    • Area of focus
    • Sub Segment

  5. Select Register. The Verify your account screen displays.

    NOTE: After selecting Register you will receive an email with a verification code sent to the email address you entered.

  6. Use the code sent by email to verify the new Schneider Electric ID account.

NOTE: After the registration for your Schneider Electric ID is complete, Energy Hub will log you in automatically and starts guiding you through an initial setup process. You can complete this process at that time, or choose to log out and complete it later.

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Manage user account, below your user name. The My profile screen displays.
  2. In My profile, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Edit my profile. The Profile page displays.
  3. On the Profile page, update your profile settings as needed.
  4. Select Update.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Manage user account, below your user name. The Profile page displays.
  2. On the Profile page, update your profile settings as needed.
  3. Select Update.

 

IMPORTANT: To manage and renew your subscriptions, you need to provide some company information in your Schneider Electric ID profile. Please check the My Company section of your profile and update the information if necessary.

The following information is required:

  • Address (street, city, state / province)

  1. With your mobile device, scan the following QR codes or visit the app store using the links.
  2. Follow the instructions to download and install the app on your mobile device.

Alarming and notifications

[Technician mode only]

NOTE: Changing notification settings might lead to missed important alarms. Before making any changes, check that there are no critical alarms set for those priorities and categories.

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under User preferences, select Notification settings. The Notifications screen displays.
  3. In Notifications, update the notifications filter criteria for alarm priority and alarm category for email notifications and mobile push notifications as needed.

NOTE: This acknowledges the latest instance of this alarm and any previously unacknowledged instances.

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the Home tab. The Alarms summary displays.
  2. Tap the display to open the alarms list and find the alarm you want to acknowledge.

    TIP: (Optional) modify the alarm filter settings to find the alarm you are looking for.

  3. Select the alarm. The alarm details screen displays.
  4. In the alarm details screen, scroll down to find the alarm acknowledgment option.
  5. Select Acknowledge. The Acknowledge Alarm screen displays.
  6. (Optional) In Acknowledge Alarm, enter a comment to be recorded with the acknowledgment.
  7. Select Acknowledge to acknowledge the alarm.

Technician mode:

To acknowledge an alarm using Inbox:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the Inbox tab. A list of alarms displays.
  2. Find the alarm you want to acknowledge.
  3. Select the alarm. The alarm details screen displays.
  4. In the alarm details screen, scroll down to find the alarm acknowledgment option.
  5. Select Acknowledge. The Acknowledge Alarm screen displays.
  6. (Optional) In Acknowledge Alarm, enter a comment to be recorded with the acknowledgment.
  7. Select Acknowledge to acknowledge the alarm.

To acknowledge an alarm using Investigate:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the Investigate tab. A list of sites displays.
  2. Drill down in the list and select the location or load you want to acknowledge an alarm for. The Investigate screen for the selected item displays, showing alarm information.

    TIP: To drill down, tap a site to see the locations and loads within it. Keep tapping locations to see child locations and loads until you find the one you are looking for.

  3. Select the Active alarms tile. A list of alarms displays.
  4. Find the alarm you want to acknowledge.
  5. Select the alarm. The alarm details screen displays.
  6. In the alarm details screen, scroll down to find the alarm acknowledgment option.
  7. Select Acknowledge. The Acknowledge Alarm screen displays.
  8. (Optional) In Acknowledge Alarm, enter a comment to be recorded with the acknowledgment.
  9. Select Acknowledge to acknowledge the alarm.

[Technician mode only]

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, on the Inbox or Investigate tab, find the alarm you want to share. For instructions on how to view alarms, see To view alarm information.
  2. Select the alarm. The alarm details screen displays.
  3. In the alarm details screen, from the options menu (three dots), select Share Alarm. The sharing options of your mobile device display.
  4. From the sharing options, select the one you want to use to share the alarm.
IMPORTANT:
  • The data for this functionality is not real-time. Energy Hub uses the latest logged data from the equipment or monitoring device. Updates occur every 10 minutes.
  • You can only set up a software-based alarm if Energy Hub received relevant data for that alarm type from the equipment or device in the last seven days.

  2. Select Alarm rules. The Alarm rules screen displays, showing existing alarm rules for the selected site.

  3. In Alarm rules, select Add alarm rule. The Add alarm rule tile displays.
  4. In the Add alarm rule tile, select the type of alarm rule you want to create. The Add alarm rule configuration screen displays.
  5. In the Add alarm rule configuration screen, define parameters such as alarm rule name, aggregation interval, alarm priority, alarm ON threshold value, and others.
  6. Select Save.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Alarm settings, select Manage alarm settings. The Alarm settings screen displays with a list of sites.
  3. In Alarm settings, find and select the location or load you want to create an alarm rule for. The Alarm settings screen for the selected item displays, showing existing alarm rules for the location or load.

    TIP: To find a location or load, tap a site to see the locations within it. Keep tapping locations to see child locations and loads until you find the item you are looking for.

  4. In Alarm settings for the location or load, select Add alarm rule. The Create new alarm rule screen displays.
  5. In Create new alarm rule, select the type of alarm rule you want to create. Select Next.
  6. In Create new alarm rule, in the Setpoint section, define parameters such as threshold type, aggregation interval, alarm priority, alarm ON threshold value, and others. Select Next.
  7. In Create new alarm rule, in the General section, define a name for the new alarm rule.
  8. (Optional) In Create new alarm rule, in the General section, disable the new alarm rule if you do not want it to take effect immediately.

    NOTE: You can enable or disable alarm rules at any time on the alarm settings screen for the location or load.

  9. Select Finish.

NOTE: Consumption alarms are based on the total consumption for a location. For example, for a location with multiple water meters, the water overconsumption alarm uses the sum of all the meters.

  4. In Alarm settings for the location or load, find the alarm rule you want to enable or disable.
  5. Toggle the slider control for this alarm rule to enable or disable the alarm rule.

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Select Alarm rules. The Alarm rules screen displays, showing existing alarm rules for the selected site.

    TIP: You can select the site that Site manager is showing information for on the Home screen.

  3. In Alarm rules, tap the rule you want to delete. The alarm rule options tile displays.
  4. On the alarm rule options tile, select Edit alarm rule. The Edit alarm rule configuration screen displays.
  5. In Edit alarm rule, scroll to the bottom of the screen, then select Delete to delete the alarm rule.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Alarm settings, select Manage alarm settings. The Alarm settings screen displays with a list of sites.
  3. In Alarm settings, find and select the location or load you want to delete an alarm rule for. The Alarm settings screen for the selected item displays, showing existing alarm rules for the location or load.

    TIP: To find a location or load, tap a site to see the locations within it. Keep tapping locations to see child locations and loads until you find the item you are looking for.

  4. In Alarm settings for the location or load, from the options menu (three dots) of the alarm rule you want to delete, select Delete alarm rule to delete the alarm rule.

NOTES:
  • Inbox shows alarms for the entire organization, but only for the alarm categories and alarm priorities you have selected in the notification settings.
  • Investigate shows all alarms for the location or equipment that you select in the organization tree, independent of the notification settings.

 

Site manager mode:

To view site level alarm information:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the Home tab.
  2. View summary alarm information for the selected site.
  3. Tap the alarm display to open the Alarms screen. A list of active, unacknowledged alarms for the site displays.
  4. (Optional) Select an alarm to see the alarm details.
  5. (Optional) Customize the alarm filter to filter on load types or alarm states.

To view load specific alarm information:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the Home tab.
  2. Swipe up for more details. The load type tabs display.
  3. Select the tab for the load type you are interested in, for example Refrigeration. The status tiles for the loads of this type display.
  4. Select the status tile for the load you are interested in. A details screen displays.
  5. On the details screen, select Alarms to see a list of alarms for this load.
  6. (Optional) Customize the alarm filter to filter on load type or alarm state.

Technician mode:

To view organization level alarm information:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the Inbox tab.
  2. View alarm information for the entire organization.
  3. (Optional) Select an alarm to see the alarm details.

To view load specific alarm information:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the Investigate tab. A list of sites displays.
  2. Drill down in the list and select the location (select view) or load you want to view alarms for. The Investigate screen for the selected item displays, showing alarm information.

    • You can also view load-specific alarm rules from the load tile details by selecting a load tile on the Home screen.
  3. In Alarm rules, tap the rule you want to view. The alarm rule options tile displays.
  4. On the alarm rule options tile, select Edit alarm rule. The Edit alarm rule configuration screen displays.
  5. In Edit alarm rule, view the alarm rule details.
  6. Select the navigation arrow in the top left corner of the screen to exit the edit alarm rule screen without saving any changes.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Alarm settings, select Manage alarm settings. The Alarm settings screen displays showing a list of sites.
  3. In Alarm settings, find and select the location or load you want to view an alarm rule for. The Alarm settings screen for the selected item displays, showing existing alarm rules.

    TIP: To drill down, tap a site to see the locations and loads within it. Keep tapping locations to see child locations and loads until you find the one you are looking for.

  4. Find the alarm rule you are interested in, and then, from the options menu (three dots) of the alarm rule, select Edit alarm rule. The Edit alarm rule screen displays.
  5. View the alarm rule details.
  6. Select Cancel to exit without saving any changes.
Automation and control

[Site Manager mode only]

NOTE: Always consider the Safety Precautions when using information provided by Energy Hub for decision making.

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the Home tab and swipe up for more details.
  2. Select the tab that represents the load type you want to control, for example Lighting. The tiles for loads of this type display, for example all lighting loads.
  3. On the tile representing the load you want to control, select the on/off control to change the load state.

    TIP: You can also select the tile to open the details view and then control the load from there.

[Site Manager mode only]

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. In Setup, select Load schedules. A list of the loads that can be controlled through Energy Hub displays.
  3. Select the load that you want to create a schedule for. The Load schedules page with existing schedules for this load displays.
  4. Select Add schedule. The Define schedule page displays.
  5. Define the schedule name, select the days and times when you want the load to be turned on. Add time periods and day groups as needed.
  6. Select Save.

TIP: You can also open the Load schedules screen for a load from its details screen. To open the details screen, go to Home > (load type tab) and select the tile for the load you want to control.

[Site Manager mode only]

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. In Setup, select Load schedules. A list of the loads that can be controlled through Energy Hub displays.
  3. Select the load that you want to edit the schedule for. The Load schedules page with existing schedules for this load displays.
  4. Select the schedule that you want to edit. The schedule details page displays.
  5. On the schedule details page, select Edit schedule. The Define schedule page displays.
  6. In Define schedule, make the changes you want to make.
  7. Select Save.

  4. Select the schedule that you want to delete. The schedule details page displays.
  5. On the schedule details page, select Edit schedule. The Define schedule page displays.
  6. In Define schedule, scroll to the bottom of the page until the Delete schedule option is visible.
  7. Select Delete schedule.

Devices

You cannot directly add a device to your organization in Energy Hub. To add a device to a site, you need to add the device to the communication gateway in your facility that is connected to the site in Energy Hub. After the device has been added to the gateway, it will automatically appear in Energy Hub.

NOTES:

  • For Energy Hub to recognize a device as a water or gas meter, set the correct I/O Contextualization and Commodity settings in the Panel Server gateway. If the Commodity setting is incorrect, you can also adjust it in Energy Hub. See Settings for information on the Commodity setting.

  • It can take 15 - 20 minutes after connecting a new device to a gateway until device data is available in Energy Hub.

You cannot delete individual devices from your organization in Energy Hub.

The only way to delete devices is to delete the gateway that they are associated with. Deleting a gateway deletes all devices and device data that are associated with this gateway.

Emergency lighting

Gateway identification codes

Panel Server

The identification codes for Panel Server are its serial number and device code. The device code is only available for Panel Server firmware versions 1.10 and greater, which includes all Panel Servers manufactured after June 1, 2024 (*). Older versions do not have a device code and you can add these older Panel Server versions to Energy Hub without entering a device code.

For Panel Server firmware versions 1.10 and greater, you can find the serial number and device code in the Panel Server Webpages (in Settings > Data Publication > Schneider Cloud service applications management) or through the EcoStruxure Power Commission software. For older versions, find the serial number on the Panel Server Webpages login page.

(*) The manufacturing date is shown in the serial number of the device. The 3-7 highest digits of the serial number show the year (YY), week (WW), and day of the week(D) it was manufactured (xxYYWWDxxxxx). Serial numbers for Panel Servers manufactured on June 1, 2024 or later have a year, week, day code that is equal to or greater than 24226 (year = 24, week = 22, day = 6) –> xx24226xxxxx.

Site Server

The identification code for Site Server is its Site Key. You can find the Site Key in the Site Server Web Application (in Settings > Server > Cloud Connection).

Help

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Help and support. The Help and support options screen displays.
  2. Select Documentation. A browser window opens displaying the help documentation.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Help and support. The Help and support options screen displays.
  2. Select Download the user guide. A browser window opens displaying the Schneider Electric website.
  3. Follow the instructions on the website to open the help documentation.
  1. Open Energy Hub Help.
  2. In Help, in the content window, find the tool bar in the top right corner. The toolbar displays on any help page, including the home page.
  3. On the toolbar, find the Change language icon and select it. A list of supported languages displays.

    NOTE: The Change Language icon only displays if multiple language versions of Help are available.

  4. From the list of languages, select the language of your choice.

  3. Follow the workflow steps and provide the required information to create the new organization.

You cannot delete an organization in Energy Hub.

  4. In Invite user, provide the required information and then select Send invitation to send an invitation to the new user.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Organization setup, select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, select Invite. The Invite screen displays.
  4. In Invite, provide the required information and then select Send invitation to send an invitation to the new user.

The new user is added to the system when the recipient accepts the invitation.

A user in Energy Hub is linked to their Schneider Electric IDClosed This is the account you can use to log in to all Schneider services, including Energy Hub.. The username, password, company name, and other profile settings are defined and managed through the Schneider Electric ID.

NOTE: Restricting data access for a user limits their privileges. For details, see Limited privileges for users with restricted access permissions.

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, find the user you want to change privileges for and select it. The Edit user screen displays.
  4. In Edit user, make changes to the user role and access permissions as needed.
  5. Select Save.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Organization setup, select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, find the user you want to change privileges for.
  4. From the options menu (three dots) for this user, select Change privileges. The Change privileges screen displays.
  5. In Change privileges, make changes to the user role and access permissions as needed.
  6. Select Change Privileges.

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, find the user you want to determine the privileges for.
  4. Select the user you want to determine the privileges for. The Edit user screen displays.
  5. In Edit user, view the user role and access permissions.
  6. In Edit user, select the back arrow navigation in the top left corner of the screen to exit without making changes to the user privileges.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Organization setup, select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, find the user you want to determine the privileges for.
  4. From the options menu (three dots) for this user, select Change privileges. The Change privileges screen displays.
  5. In Change privileges, view the user role and access permissions.
  6. In Change privileges, select Cancel, or select "x" in the top left corner of the screen to exit without making changes to the user privileges.

You cannot create custom user roles in Energy Hub.

You cannot edit user roles in Energy Hub.

NOTES:
  • Removing a user removes them from the current organization. To remove users with access to multiple organizations, remove them individually from each organization.
  • You cannot undo removing a user. To give a user that was removed access to your organization again, invite them again as a new user.

Site manager mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Site manager mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, find the user you want to determine the privileges for.
  4. Select the user you want to determine the privileges for. The Edit user screen displays.
  5. In Edit user, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Remove user to remove this user.

Technician mode:

  1. In the Energy Hub mobile app, in Technician mode, open the application options menu (three lines) and select Setup. The Setup options screen displays.
  2. Under Organization setup, select Manage users. The Manage users screen displays.
  3. In Manage users, find the user you want to remove.
  4. From the options menu (three dots) for this user, select Remove user to remove this user.
